How CodeBlock Digital Solutions collects, uses, and protects personal data, in plain English.
Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how CodeBlock Digital Solutions ("CodeBlock", "we", "us") collects and uses personal data when you visit codeblockdigital.com or contact us. CodeBlock Digital Solutions is a sole proprietorship owned by Varun Jyoti Baruah, established in 2024 and registered as a micro enterprise under Udyam (UDYAM-AS-15-0035152), with its office at 730 Rodali Bhawan, Rasendra Nagar, Macharhat, Jorhat - 785001, Assam, India.
For personal data you share with us, we act as the data fiduciary (the party that decides why and how the data is used).
The short version
- We only collect what you choose to send us through the contact form, email, or phone.
- We use it to reply to you and, if we work together, to run the project.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
- You can ask us to see, correct, or delete your data at any time.
What we collect
Information you give us
When you use our contact form we collect your name, email address, and message, plus anything else you choose to add: phone number, business name, website address, the service you are interested in, project size, and timeline. We also record that you ticked the consent box, the page you sent the form from, the referring page (if your browser shares it), and the time of submission.
If you email or call us, we keep the content of that conversation and your contact details.
Information collected automatically
Like every website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes technical data when you load a page, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure, and block abuse. We do not use this data to build a profile of you. We currently do not run Google Analytics or any advertising pixels on this website.

We will not send you marketing emails unless you ask for them. Every non-essential email we send will include a way to opt out.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only with services we need to run the business, and only as much as they need:
- Google (Google Workspace / Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Apps Script): contact form submissions are stored in a private Google Sheet and sent to us by email.
- Cloudflare: website hosting, content delivery, and security.
- Freelance collaborators: if a project needs extra hands, a developer or writer may see the project details they need, under a confidentiality commitment.
- Authorities: where the law requires it, for example a valid order from a court or government agency.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data.
Where your data is stored
Google and Cloudflare operate data centers in India and other countries, including the United States. Your data may therefore be processed outside India. We only use providers with strong security practices and we will follow any restrictions on cross-border transfer notified by the Government of India.
How long we keep it
- Inquiries that do not turn into a project: up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted.
- Client project records: for the length of the engagement and up to 3 years after it ends.
- Invoices and accounting records: for as long as Indian tax and GST law requires (currently 6 to 8 years, depending on the record).
You can ask us to delete your data sooner, unless we must keep it by law.
How we protect it
We apply reasonable security practices in line with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011. This includes HTTPS on every page, access to the accounts that hold your data limited to the people who need it, and basic spam protection on our form. No method of storage or transfer is completely secure, but we work hard to protect your data.
If a personal data breach affects you, we will inform you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and applicable rules, and as good practice for everyone we work with, you can:
- Ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it
- Ask us to correct, complete, or update it
- Ask us to erase it, or withdraw your consent (this will not affect anything we did before you withdrew it)
- Nominate another person to exercise these rights for you if you are unable to
- Raise a grievance with us, and if you are not satisfied, approach the Data Protection Board of India
To use any of these rights, email hello@codeblockdigital.com with the subject line "Privacy request". We may need to confirm your identity first.

We will acknowledge your grievance within 2 business days and aim to resolve it within 30 days, and in any case within the time the law requires.
Children
This website and our services are meant for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us their details, tell us and we will delete them.
Visitors from outside India
If you contact us from the United States, the European Union, or elsewhere, we handle your data as described in this policy. You can use the same rights listed above, and we will respond to requests in line with the privacy law that applies to you where it gives you more protection.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services, tools, or the law change. The "Last updated" date at the top will always show the latest version. If a change is significant, we will say so clearly on this page.
