Refund and Cancellation Policy
Clear rules for cancelling a project and getting money back.
Overview
We want every client to feel they got fair value. This policy explains what happens if you want to cancel, and when refunds apply. Your signed proposal may include project-specific terms; where it does, those terms apply.
Consultations and audits
- An initial discovery call is free.
- Paid SEO audits and strategy documents can be cancelled for a full refund before work starts.
- Once work on an audit has started, fees cover the time already spent. Once the audit is delivered, it is non-refundable.
Website and design projects
- If you cancel before work begins, any advance paid is refunded in full.
- If you cancel after work begins, you pay for the work completed up to the date of cancellation, based on the milestones in your proposal. Any advance above that amount is refunded.
- Completed and approved milestones are non-refundable.
- Third-party costs paid on your behalf (domains, paid themes, stock images, software licenses) are non-refundable.
Monthly SEO services
- Monthly services can be cancelled with 15 days' written notice, unless your proposal sets a minimum term.
- Fees for a month that has already started are not refunded, because work for that month is already scheduled.
- Money paid in advance for months that have not started is refunded in full.
- Budgets passed to third parties for links, press releases, or ads are non-refundable once spent or ordered.
If something goes wrong
If a deliverable does not match what was agreed in writing, tell us within 14 days of delivery. We will fix it at no extra cost. If we cannot deliver what we promised, we will refund the fee for that part of the work.
Because search engines control rankings, not reaching a specific ranking or traffic target is not by itself grounds for a refund, unless your proposal includes a written performance guarantee.
How refunds are paid
Approved refunds are paid to the original payment method (bank transfer, UPI, or PayPal) within 7 to 10 business days of approval. We do not charge a fee to process a refund, but your bank or payment provider might.
How to cancel or request a refund
Email hello@codeblockdigital.com with the subject line "Cancellation" or "Refund request", your name, the project, and the reason. We will confirm within 2 business days.
